Job Summary
Financing Specialist role in EMEA focused on developing and executing Jane Street's financing capabilities across multiple asset classes. Responsibilities include managing and negotiating day-to-day financing transactions, maintaining relationships with prime brokers and external counterparties, optimizing financing footprint across counterparties/products/structures, contributing to long-term financing strategy, performing in-depth cost-benefit analyses, and helping to build the supporting infrastructure. Requires 3-5 years of relevant financing experience, strong understanding of EMEA markets and multiple asset classes, ability to manage external relationships, solid data-analysis skills, and proficiency in Python/SQL is a plus. Fluent English required; London, UK-based role with on-site work.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of financing experience at a buy-side firm or bank
- strong understanding of EMEA financing and stock loan markets
- experience across multiple asset classes (e.g., equities, corporate bonds, ETFs)
- experience with financing structures (e.g., PB, swap, repo)
- ability to cultivate/manage relationships with prime brokers and counterparties
- strong data analysis and problem-solving skills (STEM background acceptable)
- effective communication in a team environment
- fluency in English; Python/SQL or other programming languages a strong plus
