Job Summary

Plan and engage youth in activities; form therapeutic relationships with youth and families; observe, guide and correct delinquent, unsafe and/or unusual behavior; evaluate, interpret, instruct and guide the behavior of youth and to assess and manage group dynamics; requires High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years in the child welfare field; TCI and First Aid/ CPR certification; valid driver's license.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting
  • Ability to work with an economically and culturally diverse population
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment
  • TCI certification
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving history
