Job Summary
Section Engineer role within Murphy's Infrastructure team, delivering water infrastructure and related projects in partnership with Thames Water. Responsibilities include checking Inspection Test Plans, setting-out protocols for subcontractors, ensuring on-site installation aligns with specifications, supporting the Design Team with setting-out requirements, reviewing Design Information prior to works, ensuring Quality Control adherence, resolving technical issues, maintaining safety per the Project Safety Plan, ensuring equipment is calibrated and in date, ensuring operations comply with contract procedures, disseminating clear information to site personnel, minimising environmental disturbance, supervising environmental compliance, liaising with the Project Team, using latest issue drawings/documents, and assisting Site Management with KPI updates, material reconciliation and progress reporting. Engineering qualification, IT skills (Office, Excel, Word), and prior civil engineering project experience are required, along with a UK driving license and appropriate safety trainings (IOSH/SSSTS/SMSTS). Must have legal right to live and work in the UK.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering qualification from a reputable firm
- Driver’s license
- Safety training IOSH and/or SSSTS or SMSTS
- Proven experience as an engineer on a civil engineering project
- Ability to articulate engineering concepts verbally and in writing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- UK right to work
