Job Summary
New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) seeks a Section 8 Statewide Quality Control Representative to conduct SEMAP audits and quality assurance for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program. Under the Quality Assurance Manager, responsibilities include maintaining SEMAP knowledge, generating SEMAP reports, analyzing HUD/SEMAP data, conducting local reviews, identifying non-compliance risks, compiling evidence from LA files and Emphasys Elite, reviewing income discrepancy and identity verification reports, drafting concise quality control reports, and collaborating with HCV Quality Control staff to analyze performance trends. The role requires travel, a bachelor’s degree, and strong written/oral communication, with a typical 37.5-hour work week and a hybrid work arrangement in New York State locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least two years of experience in case management for low-income populations
- Proven written and oral communication skills
- Travel may be required
- Training/Experience in Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers preferred
