Job Summary
Process applications, manage waitlist selections, and verify program eligibility for prospective participants in the Housing Choice Voucher program. Schedule annual and interim reexamination interviews, collect third-party documentation for income and assets, and determine utility allowances and tenant payments using HUD guidelines. Prepare and process Housing Assistance Payment contracts, verify rent reasonableness, and coordinate lease executions with property owners. Enter participant data into agency software and submit required forms to the Enterprise Income Verification and PIC systems. Perform statistical reporting and assist with special projects as requested. Requires immediate supervision from the Director of HCV Programs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Good understanding of HUD HCV regulations
- Good understanding of Fair Housing regulations
- Good understanding of Section 504
- Use of the Administrative Plans
- High proficiency in financial calculations involving income inclusions/exclusions
- High proficiency in financial calculations involving deductions
- High proficiency in financial calculations involving percentages
- High proficiency in financial calculations involving prorated rent amounts
- Experience with housing management software (Yardi, SACS, OneSite, Emphasys, etc.)
- Experience with HUD reporting tools (EIV, PIC)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to obtain Rent Calculation Certification within 12-months of employment
- Detail-oriented in execution and coordination of all work activities
