Job Summary
Coordinate special education procedures to comply with state timelines, including scheduling psychological evaluations, multidisciplinary team meetings, and transition meetings for preschool students. Prepare Comprehensive Evaluation Reports for new referrals and re-evaluations, disseminate copies to personnel and parents, and maintain confidential student files with all necessary documents. Manage the PennData system to input data by December 1 and March 1 for handicapped and gifted students, respectively, and produce statistical reports. Coordinate special transportation services, manage ACCESS billing, and assist with the special education budgeting process by tracking requests and preparing purchase orders. Transcribe correspondence, accept calls, and order office supplies while performing other reasonable duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- secretarial experience of one to three years
- Demonstrates 80% or above on District approved performance based assessment
- understanding and knowledge of computer technology
- excellent personal and public relations skills
