Job Summary
Greet visitors, direct inquiries to appropriate staff, and respond professionally to parents, students, and community members while safeguarding confidential information. Compile and maintain accurate files for student information, discipline, and budgets using PowerSchool and Microsoft Office. Compose correspondence, transcribe reports, and manage calendars for administrators. Handle telephone messages, resolve student problems, oversee book distribution, and manage petty cash and student activity accounts. Maintain event calendars and distribute mass mailings as required. Serve as a backup to other clerical staff and perform assigned duties. This 195-day position starts in the 2026-27 school year with a salary of $47,134.00. Child abuse, state police, and FBI clearances are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three years experience and/or training
- Demonstrated ability to compose clear, concise and professional correspondence using proper format, grammar, spelling
- Strong ability to interact with teachers, students, administrators and parents
- Organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel
- Ability to use the internet to retrieve information or do research
- A working knowledge of PowerSchool or similar Student Information System
- Competency on the computerized qualifying tests
- Child abuse clearance
- PA State Police clearance
- FBI clearance
- No less than one year from date of hire for clearances
- This is a 195 day position
- This position is anticipated to start at the beginning of the 26-27 school year
Desired Qualifications
- One to three years experience and/or training preferred
- A working knowledge of PowerSchool or similar Student Information System is strongly preferred
