Job Summary

Administrative support and bookkeeping role in a school district setting. Performs financial processing, receipts, deposits, payroll documentation, and account reconciliations; prepares reports and detailed financial data; maintains and updates filing systems; types and proofreads correspondence; coordinates meetings and travel for supervision; assists with substitute teacher coordination, class coverage, and fundraising paperwork; oversees time sheets and payroll questions; maintains equipment records and bank-related tasks; supports staff and school-related entities with clerical-accounting duties and adherence to policies. Requires strong organizational, mathematical, and communication skills, plus knowledge of government accounting, budgeting, and internal accounts procedures. Bachelor/BA not required; two-year combination of education/experience in admin support with accounting experience preferred. Probation: 1 year.

Required Qualifications

  • Two (2) year combination of education, training, and/or experience in administrative support work which includes accounting or bookkeeping experience in at least one of the following areas: accounts payable (posting and/or paying on accounts), accounts receivable, payroll, bank telling/cashiering, and bank statement reconciliation/financial analysis for multiple accounts.
  • Must be able to type accurately at a rate of 20 correct words per minute.
  • Must be bondable.
