Job Summary
Secretary reports to the Assistant Program Director and handles general secretarial, front desk, and bookkeeping duties, updates electronic medical records, attends bi-weekly program meetings, and provides timely reports. Requires bilingual Spanish-English communication for clients, strong typing (55 wpm), proficiency with MS Office/Office 365/Teams/Zoom, and successful completion of background checks and drug screening. In-person role at the Fresno, CA office with a Monday–Friday schedule and a pay range per hour for Monolingual and Bilingual classifications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of junior college with Business Administration/Secretarial major or completion of secretarial course in accredited business school preferred
- Previous successful secretarial or office work experience
- Communicate effectively in written and spoken English
- Ability to type 55 wpm
- Work effectively with diverse ethnic, cultural, religious, socioeconomic, and professional groups of people
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication/meeting platforms
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and TB test
- Communicate effectively in written and spoken Spanish
- Provide language translations for case managers and Physicians on a periodic basis
- Minimal adequate competency in the Spanish language as evidenced by successful passage of the TPOCC Spanish Competency Test
