Job Summary
Provide clerical support to the administrative supervisor and assist with educational administration duties. Responsibilities include placing calls, maintaining records in accordance with state attendance requirements, obtaining and organizing data, processing correspondence and reports for students and staff, maintaining filing systems including confidential files, ordering and maintaining supplies, performing receptionist duties, and ensuring confidentiality. Requires strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, computer literacy, and the ability to multi-task. Prior experience as a secretary is preferred. This role supports district safety protocols and emergency procedures and contributes to technology needs to meet evolving school requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Qualifies for state paraprofessional certification
- Knowledge of school district organization, operations, and administrative policies
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Computer literate and possess other secretarial skills
- Ability to multi-task complex administrative activities
- Demonstrate interest in education and in students
