Job Summary
Secretary 1 at Shared Health in Selkirk DI Support handles day-to-day operations of the unit’s reception desk and diagnostic booking departments (CT, MRI, US, Echo) with in-person work. Requires fast-paced, confidential client service with accuracy in typing (55 wpm), strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Word; knowledge or asset familiarity with RIS/PACS, EPR, and eChart. Completion of a recognized secretarial course (or combination of education/experience) and Medical Terminology course is expected, with Grade 12 education as minimum. The role involves coordinating reception duties, supporting diagnostic booking processes, and maintaining safe, policy-compliant standards; bilingual (French and English) may be required. Shifts include days, evenings, and weekends; daily hours 7.25; 1885 annual base hours; in-person work arrangement; CUPE affiliation; adherence to security and confidentiality requirements; must obtain various criminal and vulnerable sector checks as a condition of employment. Required Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 education
