Job Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth; develop lesson plans reflecting district curriculum; accommodate individual student differences; use varied instructional strategies, assessments, and technology; collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs; maintain classroom environment conducive to learning; communicate with students, parents, and colleagues; participate in staff development and adhere to district policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- ESL Certification required for Pre-K and elementary positions and for Middle School ELA with Special Education
- Special Education Certification required for Early Childhood campus and other specified roles
- Experience: At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
