Job Summary
Develop and adapt curriculum materials aligned with state standards for virtual students, delivering engaging Social Studies lessons through live sessions and recorded activities. Foster an inclusive online learning environment by implementing engagement strategies, administering assessments, and providing timely feedback to guide academic progress. Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians while offering additional support to students requiring extra assistance. Stay informed on best practices in online education and participate in professional development to enhance teaching skills. Requires a Bachelor's degree, Tennessee teaching certificate, and two years of secondary teaching experience. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of successful teaching experience, preferably in a secondary setting
- Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) in a professional or academic setting
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels (Email, Google Chat, and Document Comments) with high clarity and low ambiguity
- Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds
- Desire to put students first
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned

- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong technology skills and familiarity with virtual learning platforms

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Valid Tennessee teaching certificate with endorsements in Social Studies or related training and work experience
