Job Summary
Deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum, including ATAR and General pathways, while creating positive, inclusive, and student-centred learning environments. Assess, monitor, and report on student achievement using varied strategies, providing inclusive experiences for diverse abilities. Integrate technology to enhance engagement and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, moderation, and resource development. Contribute to pastoral care, wellbeing, and co-curricular activities within the Christian school community. Commencing January 2027, this permanent role requires TRBWA registration, relevant qualifications, and a commitment to the College's Statement of Faith.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience teaching Secondary Science
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues
- Strong planning, organisation and assessment skills
- A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous professional growth
- Current (or eligible) Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education and Science
- Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
- National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain
- Personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ
- Active participation in a church or Christian community
- Acceptance of the College's Statement of Faith
- Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience teaching ATAR and/or General Senior Secondary Science courses
- Experience integrating technology into classroom teaching
- A willingness to contribute to co-curricular and extracurricular programs
