Job Summary
Plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. The teacher is responsible for growth in student learning. Responsibilities include establishing learning objectives, planning and using a variety of instructional techniques and materials, differentiating assignments, maintaining classroom control, and following district and state guidelines. Administrative duties include following school rules, sign-in procedures, coordinating field trips with proper approvals and insurance, and professional responsibilities such as participating in in-service programs and meeting standards of the NIET rubric across instructional, planning, assessment, and environment domains.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate
- Any additional certifications/qualifications specified by the Louisiana Standards for State Certification of School Personnel Bulletin 746
