Job Summary
ELA classroom teacher responsible for planning and implementing an instructional program in a learning environment that guides students to develop their academic potential. Responsibilities include establishing objectives, planning daily/weekly/unit lessons, differentiating instruction, maintaining classroom control, following policy and schedule requirements (Nine, Ten, Eleven, or Twelve months), and fulfilling administrative duties such as field trips and records. The role emphasizes adherence to program structure, curriculum guides, and state standards, and requires effective teaching practices, data-informed evaluation, professional growth, and alignment with NIET rubric standards for instructional domain, planning, and environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate
- Any additional certifications/qualifications specified by the Louisiana Standards for State Certification of School Personnel Bulletin 746
