Job Summary
Develop and adapt curriculum materials aligned with state standards for industrial, engineering, manufacturing, and emerging technology fields while delivering engaging virtual instruction to 9-12 students. Utilize multimedia resources, simulations, and project-based learning to foster an inclusive online environment, then design, administer, and assess student assignments and exams. Provide timely feedback, offer academic support, and maintain regular communication with families regarding progress. Participate in live learning sessions and recorded activity preparation with Department Chair support, while staying current on industry trends and virtual instructional best practices through ongoing professional development. Requires two years of CTE teaching experience, a valid license, and a minimum of 25 Mbps internet connection.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience teaching Industrial & Emerging Technologies or working in a related industry
- Strong knowledge of career pathways related to manufacturing, engineering, construction, skilled trades, transportation, automation, robotics, or emerging technologies
- Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) in a professional or academic setting
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels (Email, Google Chat, and Document Comments) with high clarity and low ambiguity
- Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid teaching license or Career and Technical Education (CTE) authorization appropriate for teaching
- Industrial & Emerging Technologies in Indiana or Oregon, or eligibility to obtain appropriate licensure before employment
