Secondary Teacher (7-12)

Teach one or more subjects to secondary students in grades 7-12 and direct them toward reaching their potential. Prepare for assigned classes, develop teaching outlines aligned with state and local curricula, and instruct students using varied teaching strategies and materials. Assign lessons, correct papers, and prepare/administer/correct tests while recording results and monitoring student progress. Maintain classroom discipline and environment conducive to learning, keep attendance and grade records, report progress to parents, and communicate regularly with families. Attend faculty meetings and professional development opportunities; comply with board policies and school regulations; and perform other duties as assigned. The role requires a Tennessee teaching license with an appropriate endorsement, the ability to adapt to diverse learners, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining professional standards and a positive school presence.
