Secondary Special Education Consultant (Multiple Positions)

Job Summary
Provide ongoing support to special and general education instructional personnel delivering services to eligible individuals. Assist in the identification of children in need of special education services and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences. Support and model appropriate instructional strategies, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision-making to remediate learning and behavioral differences. Deliver professional development to special education teachers and staff while collaborating with community agencies. Maintain confidentiality and operate within a multi-disciplinary service delivery model. Keep current with special education law, teaching strategies, and best practices. Assist with other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Iowa Teaching license with Special Education Consultant endorsement or willingness to obtain
- Four years of teaching experience with at least two years of teaching in special education
