Secondary Special Education Consultant (Multiple Positions)

Job Summary
Provide ongoing support to special and general education instructional personnel delivering services to eligible individuals. Assist in the identification of children in need of special education services, participate in IEP meetings, and model appropriate instructional strategies using data to make sound decisions. Offer professional development to teachers, collaborate with community agencies, and provide assistance in classroom management and behavioral interventions. Operate within a multi-disciplinary service delivery model while keeping current with special education law and best practices. This role includes a $3,538 SPED Consultant Stipend and requires a valid Iowa Teaching license with Special Education Consultant endorsement.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Iowa Teaching license with Special Education Consultant endorsement or willingness to obtain
- Four years of teaching experience with at least two years of teaching in special education
