Job Summary
Coach campus and district staff on behavioral strategies and interventions to ensure positive student outcomes. Assist teachers in developing structured teaching strategies, effective behavior intervention plans, and individual programs for students with chronic behavioral needs. Provide direct support to staff managing students with complex needs and collect, monitor, and analyze IEP data. Conduct district-wide staff development and training for AB staff while receiving and delivering training in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) for classroom safety. Collaborate with peers, supervisors, and subordinates to establish effective relationships and make sound decisions based on district policy and procedures. This 197-day probationary contract offers a salary of $67,640/IA-3, with a preference for current CFISD employees.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree from a recognized, accredited, college or university
- Texas certification in elementary or secondary education
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as a certified special education teacher
- Demonstrated skill in leading, motivating, coaching, and collaborating with teachers
