Job Summary
Operate and monitor secondary packaging equipment, including cap applicators, conveyors, and palletizers, while ensuring package integrity and compliance with product quality specifications. Perform start-up, changeover, and shutdown procedures, conduct basic troubleshooting, and inspect products for defects such as cap placement or bond issues. Maintain continuous product flow between filling and packaging operations, coordinate with cross-functional teams for balanced line flow, and perform routine cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas. Accurately complete production records, downtime documentation, and quality logs as required. Follow GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
- Ability to perform basic documentation and recordkeeping
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and basic production equipment
- Ability to perform essential job functions in an industrial manufacturing environment, with or without reasonable accommodation, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required
- Ability to successfully complete and maintain required equipment-specific training, certifications, and operational qualifications
Desired Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, food production, or packaging environment
- Experience operating conveyor, packaging, cap application, or automated production equipment
