Job Summary
Lead the secondary operations team in post-machining processes, including gage pinning for tight-tolerance verification, visual inspections for surface blemishes, and overseeing wash, tumble, honing, and shot peen operations. Manage daily production goals, schedule staff, and ensure all components meet exact customer specifications. Monitor scrap and rework rates, investigate root causes of defects, and train new hires on measurement techniques and SOPs. Maintain accurate inspection logs and quality documentation in compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. Identify process bottlenecks and recommend lean improvements to boost throughput. Requires 3–5 years of manufacturing experience with supervisory skills, strong knowledge of precision measuring tools, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a climate-controlled shop environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Strong working knowledge of precision measuring tools (pin gages, thread gages, micrometers, height gages, calipers)
- Exceptional attention to detail with a sharp eye for visual surface imperfections on various parts
- Proven ability to motivate a team, manage performance, and foster a culture of accountability and quality
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Use of safety glasses
- Adherence to shop floor safety protocols
Desired Qualifications
