Job Summary
Provide nursing care to patients with chronic and acute renal failure undergoing hemodialysis; work independently and with an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families; educate patients/families to support informed choice and self-care; requires RN registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives, BCLS certification, and recent hemodialysis experience or nephrology nursing training; strong communication, teaching, and teamwork skills; location in Port Alberni, BC.
Required Qualifications
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Recent (within past 5 years) hemodialysis experience or completion of recognized program in Nephrology Nursing or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
