Job Summary
Provides Pulmonary Function diagnostic testing at the Category III, IV PFT Lab level and carries out quality controls as required by the BCMA Diagnostic Accreditation Program. Requires Graduation from an approved Respiratory Therapy program, CSRT certification, ACLS Level C, and at least one year of related experience including PFT, with eligibility for BCSRT membership. Demonstrates effective communication, teamwork, and ability to operate and maintain related equipment; organizes work to support patient and staff safety and quality improvement in a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved Respiratory Therapy program
- CSRT certification
- current Cardiac life Support, Level C Certificate
- One (1) year recent related experience as a Respiratory Therapist including at least one (1) year experience in Pulmonary Function Testing
- Eligible for registered membership with the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists (BCSRT)
