Job Summary
Supervisor, Ultrasound coordinates and supervises the day-to-day activities for the diagnostic medical sonography services; provides direction to assigned staff, including technologists and students; reviews, updates, recommends changes, and ensures adherence to clinical and administrative policies and procedures; prepares and reviews annual performance appraisals for assigned staff; maintains currency with new technical and clinical information and procedures; and implements established administrative and clinical policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
- CARDUP and/or ARDMS certifications (abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, musculoskeletal, generalist, cardiac, vascular, breast)
- successful completion of recognized management/leadership/supervisory courses
- three (3) years recent, related experience in an acute health care setting, including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity)
- Eligible for registration with the Canadian Society of Medical Diagnostic Sonographers (CSDMS)
