Job Summary
Clinical nurse supervisor providing direct patient/client/resident care in the specialty area, teaching staff in group and individual settings, and serving as a clinical resource. Responsible for patient assessment, planning, and education; supervises staff and coordinates care with an interdisciplinary team; travel to other sites as required; conducts in-service and educational sessions aligned with adult learning principles to address learning needs of patients/clients/residents and staff, with emphasis on mental health and addictions care and education. Maintains current practice registration and applies current theories and practices in the specialty area.
Required Qualifications
- Masters' Degree in a related health discipline from an approved post-secondary institution
- Current practicing Registration with the Professional Practice Body of the discipline
- Three years' recent related experience in area; recognized post basic education related to mental illness, addictions and concurrent disorders; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience
- Valid British Columbia Driver's license
