Job Summary
Consultant, Volunteer Engagement within Vancouver Island Health Authority. Responsible for the maintenance and administration of volunteer service programs, including recruitment, screening, orientation, training, supervision, and evaluation of volunteers. Supports daily operations for patient/resident and client support and/or service programs. Assists the Manager, Volunteer Resources in the promotion and development of volunteer services internally and in the community.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Administration, Social Sciences, Education, Health Sciences or related field
- three years of recent related experience
- Demonstrated administration and supervisory skills
- Demonstrated Human Resource Coordination skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to guide and direct others
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to interact with a variety of people and personalities
- Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to use computer and technology
