Job Summary
Activity Assistant assists with activation and socialization programs for residents/clients and provides personal care assistance as required, under general supervision and in cooperation with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include facilitating activities, effective verbal and written communication, teaching, organizing work, and operating equipment such as an 11-25 passenger lift-equipped van to support resident care.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 10 and completion of a recognised Activity Assistant Program
- two (2) years of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Valid BC Class IV driver's license (unrestricted)
- Registered with the BC Care Aide registry
