Job Summary
Teach secondary mathematics courses including Intermediate Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra, and Statistics to students in grades 6 through 12. Plan and deliver instruction aligned with Minnesota Academic Standards while differentiating lessons to meet diverse academic needs. Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies, incorporating technology and innovative methods to enhance learning. Collaborate with colleagues to analyze student data and strengthen curriculum alignment, while maintaining regular communication with students, parents, and staff regarding academic advancement. This contract role integrates fitness, character development, and teamwork into a rigorous academic experience within a collaborative team environment focused on student well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or a related field
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in Secondary Mathematics or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Strong knowledge of secondary mathematics curriculum and instructional best practices
- Ability to teach multiple secondary mathematics courses
- Experience differentiating instruction for diverse learners
- Strong classroom management and relationship building skills
