Job Summary
Secondary Math Teacher in NORTHLAKE, Texas responsible for delivering instruction aligned to TEA guidelines, developing lesson plans, reflecting accommodations for differences in student learning styles, presenting subject matter per TEA policies, planning instructional activities, assessing student learning, collaborating with special education teachers for IEPs, supervising teacher aides and volunteers, integrating technology to strengthen teaching/learning, evaluating achievement, and participating in extracurricular activities and PLCs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- ESL Certification required for all ELA teachers
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- General knowledge of design and delivery issues related to alignment for best results in student achievement
- Ability to deliver instruction and manage student behavior
- Student teaching or approved internship
