Job Summary
Plans and delivers a comprehensive Secondary Math program, creating developmentally appropriate lessons, selecting instructional techniques and media, grading and monitoring student progress, maintaining records, and collaborating with administration, parents, and staff to support student achievement. Responsibilities include planning units and lessons, guiding learning toward curriculum goals, adapting instruction to student needs, coordinating with teaching assistants/volunteers, maintaining classroom environment and safety, conducting parent-teacher conferences, and supporting school programs and committees. Requires a valid SC teaching certificate or eligibility and a Bachelor’s degree in a related area; proficiency in classroom management, assessment, and communication with diverse learners.
Required Qualifications
- Valid South Carolina teaching certificate or eligibility for South Carolina teaching certificate in the appropriate certified area
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable
- Bachelor's degree in job related area
- Valid Teaching Certificate in Content/Grade area
