Job Summary

Lead the K-12 Literacy instructional program at division and school levels by partnering with school leadership to support Continuous School Improvement Plans through strategic observation, conferencing, and coaching. Develop, implement, and evaluate the Secondary English curriculum while designing targeted professional learning for educators. Analyze student performance data to guide instructional decisions and manage curriculum resource adoption. Represent the division in state-level meetings to advocate for content needs and stay current on policy changes. Maintain expert-level knowledge of instructional trends through continuous professional study. This 12-month, full-time role involves 7.5 hours per day and supports middle and high schools within Spotsylvania County Public Schools.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Currently possesses a Virginia Collegiate Professional or Postgraduate Professional License
  • Ability to obtain appropriate endorsements required by the Commonwealth of Virginia and School Board
  • Five (5) years of recent and successful teaching experience
