Secondary Lead Technician

Job Summary
Conduct repairs and maintenance on secondary machining equipment, including replacing parts like pneumatic cylinders and lead screws, while sharpening taps to ensure precision. Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues promptly, making final decisions on the quality of parts and ensuring running schedules are followed. Supervise and motivate a team of Finishing personnel, review their performance, and track competencies to support development. Manage adherence to work instructions and Quality Management System processes, maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities and parts used. Collaborate with other shifts on continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime. Operate during the 3rd shift (12:00am–8:00am, Tuesday–Saturday) at the Flippin, AR facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to: regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools and controls and occasionally reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Lift/move up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Must be able to see and/or hear machine alarms
- Specific vision abilities required are: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Willingness to learn the processes and needs of the Finishing Department
- Patience and professionalism when working with machines and team members
- Basic maintenance aptitude, including mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Ability to adapt to evolving maintenance needs within the Finishing Department
- Positive attitude toward the role and collaboration with department personnel
