Job Summary

Provide small group and individualized math or ELA interventions for students in grades 5-12 below grade level. Develop targeted lessons to address deficiencies and prepare weekly lesson plans focusing on specific math skills. Regularly assess student progress using the Galileo monitoring system, adjust lesson plans based on data, and collaborate with classroom teachers to track at-risk students. Keep accurate records of student progress and report achievements to parents and guardians. This role supports the Yuma campus of Harvest Preparatory Academy, a K-12 charter school, by helping students build foundational skills and increase academic performance.

Required Qualifications

  • highly qualified in math or ELA education
  • strong background in teaching middle and high school students
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Passing score on the NES/AEPA exam (if applicable)

  • Experience in teaching or leading interventions in math or ELA
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and collaborate with colleagues
  • Passion for working with math and/or ELA students to help them succeed academically and prepare for their careers
