Job Summary
Collaborate with principals and grade level leaders to plan and monitor district curriculum implementation. Assist teachers in designing engaging lessons, units of study, and instructional technology programs while modeling effective strategies to improve student performance. Conduct focused classroom visits, mentor staff, and analyze data to determine instructional needs. Provide instructional resources, support student discipline, and communicate high-level performance expectations to staff and students. Coordinate district-wide screener training, manage fiscal and administrative functions, and maintain accurate inventory of math materials. Articulate the school's mission to the community, solicit support, and initiate activities to meet community needs. Requires a Master's degree preferred, valid Texas certificate, and minimum five years of teaching or instructional leadership experience. Full-time role with occasional districtwide travel and frequent irregular hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Texas teacher certificate in appropriate content area
- Minimum 5 years of exemplary teaching/instructional leadership
- Extensive knowledge of curriculum, instruction and assessment
- Working knowledge of TEKS and state assessments
- Working knowledge of instructional technology and application
- Demonstrated strength in instruction, curriculum and lesson design/delivery
- Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
- Strong communication and training/presentation skills
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Occasional districtwide and statewide travel
- Frequent prolonged and irregular hours
