Job Summary
Collaborate with principals and grade level leaders to plan, monitor, and support the implementation of district curriculum while assisting teachers in designing engaging lessons and units. Conduct focused classroom visits to model effective instructional strategies and mentor staff on improving student performance through data analysis and research application. Provide instructional resources, manage district screeners and technology programs, and compile all required reports and records in compliance with state and federal laws. Support student discipline, maintain accurate inventory of math materials, and articulate the school's mission to the community to foster parent and staff involvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Texas teacher certificate in appropriate content area
- Minimum 5 years of exemplary teaching/instructional leadership
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Occasional districtwide and statewide travel
- Frequent prolonged and irregular hours
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
- Extensive knowledge of curriculum, instruction and assessment
- Working knowledge of TEKS and state assessments
- Working knowledge of instructional technology and application
- Demonstrated strength in instruction, curriculum and lesson design/delivery
- Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness
- Strong communication and training/presentation skills
