Job Summary
Secondary History Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Plans instruction aligned to division and state standards, develops and links instructional content across experiences, uses research-based strategies to support diverse learners, administers diverse assessments, provides timely feedback, analyzes student data to inform planning, adheres to grading procedures, maximizes instructional time, maintains a safe classroom, communicates effectively with students and families, collaborates with staff and community partners, and participates in ongoing professional development; reports to the principal and serves under contract policies. Will collaborate with families and administrators to support student success and perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
Required Qualifications
- Endorsement in Secondary History or eligibility for Virginia licensure in Secondary History
- Valid certification to meet ESSA requirements with specific endorsement in the area in which assigned
- Experience teaching with acceptable ratings (if applicable)
