Job Summary
Secondary Highly Qualified Special Education Certified Science Teacher responsible for implementing instruction in the assigned science subjects (IPC, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics) with accommodations for students according to Individual Treatment Plans; develop and deliver lesson plans, assess student progress, collaborate with teachers for program improvement, support students’ therapeutic needs in coordination with Therapeutic Services, mentor students, and participate in staff development; requires Texas certification in Secondary Science and Special Education and a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with experience in secondary science; duties include aligning instruction with Monarch model and supporting students’ self-regulation and academic development.
Required Qualifications
- Texas Certification in Secondary Science and Special Education (high school)
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Valid science teaching certification to meet State requirements with specific experience in secondary science
- Master's preferred
