Job Summary
Establish and implement a comprehensive counseling program measured by the Louisiana Counseling Performance Evaluation Rubric and district policy. Support students in meeting academic and behavioral expectations by assisting with goal setting, administering standardized tests, and interpreting scores to formulate vocational and educational plans. Provide individual and small group counseling to foster personal social growth, supervise student activities during school hours, and coordinate referrals to outside agencies. Compile assessment data to assist instructional procedures and supervise the preparation of college and employment applications. Complete self-evaluations, develop professional growth plans, and attend required faculty meetings, IEP conferences, and school board events. Perform duties over a 202-day schedule with moderate physical demands, including crisis response and supervision of students across campus.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate
- Louisiana Certification as a School Counselor
