Job Summary
Leading and coordinating the district-wide instructional program for grades PK-12, providing curriculum leadership and support to classroom teaching, aligning instructional efforts with state and national standards, coordinating textbook selection and district-wide assessments, and planning/delivering staff development to improve instructional effectiveness and student achievement. Responsibilities include collaborating with instructional coordinators and campus instructional coaches, facilitating professional development and grant opportunities, reviewing and revising curriculum documents, analyzing student assessment data to inform staff development needs, and representing the district at regional and national meetings to advance the instructional program.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Five years experience as a classroom teacher
- Experience with technology applications
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
- Ability to interpret data and evaluate instruction programs
- Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
