Job Summary
Instruct students in Science and Medical Professions at the secondary level, establish and enforce behavioral rules, and maintain a cooperative relationship with staff. Prepare materials and classrooms, adapt teaching methods to meet varying student needs, and communicate objectives clearly. Plan and conduct activities using researched-based best practices, guide students based on academic interests, and meet with parents to discuss progress. Confer with administrators to resolve 504 Plans and assist in developing IEPs. Prepare comprehensive lesson plans following curriculum maps, administer standardized tests, and interpret results to determine student strengths. Collaborate with teachers on program development, attend professional meetings, and perform supervisory duties as assigned. Maintain accurate student records, inventory classroom equipment, and adhere to state-mandated educational codes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Arkansas Teacher's License with appropriate certification
- Highly Qualified Teacher status (if applicable)
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
- Appreciation for diversity
- Ability to pass required ASP/FBI/DHS background checks
- Valid driver's license
