Job Summary
Art Teacher at Redan Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year; plans and delivers instruction for diverse learners in line with state and district standards, including in-person and virtual learning; collaborates with team members, communicates with parents and district staff, and maintains an engaging, safe classroom environment. Responsibilities include teaching the curriculum for art, preparing and delivering lesson plans, assessing student progress, supervising paraprofessional support, managing behavior per Student Code of Conduct, participating in student development conferences, and providing SDI and IEP-related instruction for students with special needs; requires a Bachelor's degree, valid teaching certificate, ESOL & Gifted endorsements, CTAE qualifications, and adherence to Georgia ethics and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a Georgia PSC-approved college or university in the relevant educational field
- Valid Georgia PSC-approved teaching certificate in the appropriate educational field
- Special Education certification or service certification alignment (e.g., special education, adaptive curriculum, and/or special education general curriculum)
- Valid Georgia PSC-approved endorsements for ESOL and Gifted
- CTAE specialization requirements and related endorsements
- GACE Education Ethics Assessment (for CTAE track)
- Minimum two (2) years of verifiable industrial work experience for CTAE specialization
- Industry licensure as required for CTAE specialization
