Secondary Area 1 School_Teacher, S/PID (Clarkston HS) 2026-2027

Plan and deliver educational instruction to diverse learners, including those with special needs, in line with state and district standards, and create a safe, engaging learning environment that promotes academic success, physical fitness, and life skills for global citizenship. Performs work independently under moderate supervision. Teaches grade-relevant and mandated curriculum; develops and implements lesson plans and activities through in-person and virtual learning; communicates with district personnel, students, and parents; creates a conducive classroom environment for learning; uses internet and web-based technology for instruction; assesses and reports progress; participates in conferences; supervises and manages student behavior per the Student Code of Conduct; performs general instructional duties; directs Paraprofessional or Instructional Aide as needed; maintains attendance. Special Education duties include identifying educational needs, providing instruction per IEPs, serving as case manager for students with disabilities, and following ethics provisions. Qualifications require a Bachelor's degree, a valid teaching certificate, Special Education certifications, ESOL & Gifted endorsements, CTAE-related qualifications, passing the GACE Education Ethics Assessment, and at least two years of verifiable industrial work experience or industry licensure. Remote options include remote learning alongside in-person instruction.
