Job Summary
Teach German to secondary students (grades 7-12) using the Board of Education's adopted curriculum, implementing effective instructional strategies and adapting materials for individualized small group instruction. Assess student performance, administer standardized tests, and communicate progress reports to parents while maintaining accurate records. Monitor student progress, adjust instruction accordingly, and supervise students during recess, before/after school duties, field trips, and extracurricular events. Participate in grade-level collaboration, PLCs, and school committees, and attend faculty meetings as assigned. Maintain a respectful classroom environment, establish behavior standards, and cooperate with staff to address student learning and health needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet AR licensure requirements
- Has the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally
- Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending, squatting, and kneeling
- Teachers could be asked to teach at various locations to serve the needs of students
