Job Summary
Teach German to secondary students (grades 7-12) using the Board of Education's adopted curriculum, implementing effective instructional strategies and adapting lessons to individual student needs. Assess student performance, administer standardized tests, and communicate progress to parents while maintaining accurate records. Supervise students during recess, before/after school duties, field trips, and extracurricular events. Participate in grade-level collaboration, PLCs, and curriculum development, and attend faculty meetings as assigned. Maintain a respectful classroom environment, establish behavioral standards, and ensure safety for students, equipment, and facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet AR licensure requirements
- Has the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally
- Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending, squatting, and kneeling
- Teachers could be asked to teach at various locations to serve the needs of students
