Job Summary
Oversee daily outbound operations by reviewing work procedures, schedules, and equipment assignments to ensure efficient workflow. Direct orders to appropriate areas, assign personnel based on capacity needs, and investigate solutions for customer concerns. Train and develop team members while monitoring performance metrics and ensuring compliance with company policies. Maintain strong relationships across departments and follow closing procedures to complete work assignments. This role supports the Packaging & Shipping team at a leading global distributor of electronic components in Phoenix, Arizona.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a distribution center
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, navigate change, and foster a positive, high-performing work environment
- Experience coaching, developing, and motivating employees while driving accountability and results
- Strong understanding of distribution center operations, including picking, quality control, shipping, receiving, inventory flow, and space utilization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, warehouse management systems (WMS), RF technology, and other distribution center software
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize work and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to safely lift and move merchandise weighing up to 70 pounds
