Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment, troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical problems, and respond to equipment breakdowns. Repair or replace worn components, inspect machinery for developing issues, and document completed work while communicating unresolved items during shift handoffs. Adhere to lockout/tagout safety procedures and maintain physical readiness to stand, walk, bend, and lift tools and materials. This full-time second shift role offers hourly pay of $20–$30 DOE in Houston, TX, with a focus on expanding mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience within a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- General mechanical aptitude
- Basic troubleshooting experience
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Ability to follow lockout/tagout and other required safety procedures
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift tools, parts, and materials as required
- Full-time, second shift availability
