Job Summary
Second Shift Machine Shop Lead responsible for operating Makino MMC pallet-pool operations, including loading/unloading fixtures, debris removal, quality verification, and material handling to keep CNCs running. Lead and train operators, maintain and repair tooling inventories, diagnose machine/tooling issues with cross-functional teams (supervisor, tool room, maintenance, engineering), back-up supervisor duties, collaborate with Engineering on new parts and continuous improvement projects, move materials within the plant and document in SAP, and interpret technical part prints to develop tooling plans. The role requires experience with Makino equipment, SAP, G-Code programming, and a journeyman machinist background, with preferred technical certification in machine shop operations and experience in 24/7 operations.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma and 5 years machine shop experience is required.
