Job Summary
Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under RN supervision, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs recording, and psychosocial support. Assist with transfers, repositioning, walking, range of motion exercises, meal preparation, and dining experiences. Aids nursing staff with procedures, documents resident interactions and care outcomes, and communicates changing conditions to the charge nurse. Perform housekeeping and laundry services to maintain clean living areas and support wellness and recreational programs. Requires CNA certification or enrollment within four months, full-time evening shift status, and completion of yearly competency testing and continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing
- Maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year
- Drug Free Workplace Policy compliance
Desired Qualifications
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care
